my first charcoal drawing! please! i need your critique on this!  i think my shadings are too dark. gah. its my first time.. its the scene where tidus and yuna just first me.. i bet you knew that..  .. shes not my very favorite girl charac but i really like her in ten.. (with reference) -- derwent charcoal pencil .. light , medium cotton .. i like using cotton than tissues , my fingers ang a hankie.. i did practiced.. -- thanks for everything!! this is for yuna - fans and to evryone! -- please criticize.. i wanna improve.. |

A problem avoided,
is a problem solved.I'll just say that for your first charcoal, this is really good. I have never been able to do something in charcoal that doesn't look obscenely smudgy. This looks smooth and well done, and the lines are very fine. And I especially love her hair.
As for the shadows being too dark, I don't think so. I always shade dark though, so I'm a bit biased.
Great work, keep it up.
